Exclude MPs from parliamentary business where they have declarable interests
Introduce rules that would prevent an MP from participating in debates, votes or committees where they have declared a financial interest. This could help prevent conflicts between their personal and political interests.
MPs can currently participate in parliamentary business, including debating and voting on legislation when they have a direct interest in companies or industries that will benefit from this.
