Increase pay for paper boys/girls
One Stop are currently paying the paper boys in our village £12 for a 6 day week.
This amount will and is not getting a 15 year old very far.
They have also increased the work load for the majority of the paper rounds, near to doubling one of them.
We need to have our rounds competed by 7:45 latest in order to get to school on time which is sometimes a struggle.
Most of us are now starting our mock GCSE exams so £12 a week is seeming more and more worthless as we have more things to worry about.
A lot of current and past paper boys have described the job as 'Slave Labour'.
It is a committed job so we feel that we should be paid more.
