Require public referendums to approve Government/Parliament renovation projects
UK citizens need a greater say in how and where our money is being spent, by having any Government or Parliament proposed renovation projects, using UK tax payers money, approved by the UK public in form of a referendum.
The Government release an annual statement on UK spending, but taxpayers have no real say in how or where their tax money should be spent. We have to trust our elected representatives and officials to be the caretakers and decision makers in large financial & economical decisions, but with renovations such as Big Ben, costing around £80 million, refurbishment of the Department for Education costing a reported £34 million, we believe we can no longer rely on them to fulfil their roles ungoverned.
