British Sign Language is a universal language that can be used to break down barriers of communication, across ethnic groups and children with variable abilities. Make British Sign Language part of the school curriculum from KS2 British Sign Language is a universal language that can be used to break down barriers of communication, across ethnic groups and children with variable abilities. For example, If a child does not use spoken English at home or as their first language they may find it difficult to communicate with a child that does use English as their first language. If both students learned Sign language then the barriers of communication would be removed. Allowing both children to feel included.
