Prevent ‘Dynamic Pricing’ For Entertainment/Sports Ticketing
The practice of ‘dynamic pricing’ should be legislated against by the Government or Parliament before it becomes the new normal for ticket sales.
The practice of ‘dynamic pricing’, where the base price of a ticket is increased according to demand, is tantamount to profiteering. The starting price must be calculated as the minimum needed to achieve sufficient profit to stage an event. Applying ‘dynamic pricing’ subsequently is simple greed. It is socially irresponsible and may encourage people to get themselves into financial difficulties because of an obsession with meeting their idols.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about ticket pricing are a matter for event organisers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
