Change school earrings policy

Petition Details

Schools allow children to wear one pair of earrings at school but force children to take them out for p.e this needs changing

Additional Information

it needs changing that children can keep the earrings in for p.e as well as all school times as children run around, jump and play at break times which is no different to p.e. it puts children under stress that have recently had them pierced and harder to take them out as heal up faster, causing children more upset

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about jewellery students can wear at school are a matter for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament.
