Remove local authority powers to charge a fee to drive in certain areas
We want the government to remove all powers that give local authorities the ability to charge a fee or fine owners of vehicles of any age to drive on public roads, such as areas in London called ULEZ (ultra low emission zone).
Some local authorities have been setting out areas where you are charged a fee to drive any vehicle that is of a certain criteria.
If you don't pay, you get a fine.
This has caused issues for local businesses, people commuting to and from work, caused medical implications for this who can no longer afford to go in these areas for medical needs and many more such as family members not being able to visit loved ones and workers not being able to get to their customers due to these fees.
