Award our secret services emergency power as long as Putin remains a thret

Whilst I am sure most people do not wish to see large numbers of UK soldiers on the ground in Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression there are still many things we can do. One of these is to give our secret services a free hand to do whatever necessary with whichever allies may become applicable to minimise the danger, including anything that weakens Russian military capacity and especially disarming their nuclear forces.

Even if this is something that cannot be formally sanctioned, we should at the very least refuse to rule it out- as Reagan recognised: we can only have peace through strength.
