Petition Action

Changes in knife and Gun laws. Government to invest back into communities

Petition Details

Review knife and Gun Laws.
Find solutions to stop killings and to reinvest back into the communities and organisations for our young children, giving them opportunities to excel.

Additional Information

Too many young children are being killed. The current laws are not working. Children are not safe.

The current services, youth organisations have limited funding and support putting our young children at a detriment to succeed. There is a need for more opportunities for our young children to excel and funding has to be put back into all communities.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about knife and gun crime, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Create a dedicated Minister for Knife Crime Prevention: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/639631

Mandatory 10-year sentence for possession of a knife: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/636853
