Allow students to apply to more than 5 universities through UCAS
Allow students to apply to more than 5 universities through UCAS
The choice of 5 universities through UCAS limits opportunities and if changed will allow students more choice and will reduce the need of the clearing system. It will also encourage more students to apply to universities

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for UCAS, which is a charity that was set up by universities to manage applications on their behalf.
Prospective applicants can already apply to more than five universities through UCAS by using the UCAS Extra service: www.ucas.com/undergraduate/after-you-apply/types-offer/extra-choices
