Petition Action

Update antiquated laws.

Petition Details

Most marriages today end in divorce, but in many cases provisions are not made for step children inheritance in the Will.

Additional Information

My Stepmother died and she divided her house so that 50% of it would go to the Step Family and 50% would go to her blood sister and brothers
HOWEVER, one of the step grand children NAMED in the WILL passed away before her Will was read, and instead of his share passing to the step children side, it automatically went to the Blood family.
On the Blood family's side, 2 of their siblings passed away, & their share went to the 3 surviving siblings, not their family. How if this fair?
Law needs to be changed asap.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
