Protect children from secondhand smoke exposure around schools
Ending smoking around schools
Introduce regulations, smoke free laws, smoke free zones around schools
Make it an offence to smoke or to fail to prevent smoking around school
Secondhand smoke is a major public health hazard, a real threat to children's health. The children should be protected and we should prevent them breathing secondhand smoke.The World Health Organisation found that secondhand smoke is a real and substantial threat to children health. It causes a variety of adverse health effects.
By stopping smoking around schools and other children areas it helps to protect children health and reduce the chance of being influenced by smoking behaviour.
