Keep the Post Office facility for car tax renewal.
Extend the existing contract with Post Offices beyond 31 March 2024.
Advertise that the Post Office facility for renewal is available on form V11.
Change the policy or amend the timescale of the policy to remove Post Office services for car tax.
The people in our society with neither the ability or access to technology will be severely disadvantaged and sidelined.
Post Offices will become increasingly commercially unviable.This will inevitably lead to more closures and contribute to the decline in local high street services and footfall.
The automated DVLA telephone service is not yet fit for purpose, it’s confusing and too fast and there is not a ‘human being’ alternative.
