Petition Details

We urge the Government & Parliament to introduce a mandatory dog licensing scheme inspired by Calgary, Canada. This action is essential due to several pressing issues inc, rescue dogs and the XL Bully attacks in the UK's pet ownership landscape.
Active public involvement can aid a brighter future.

Additional Information

We advocate a UK Dog Licensing System

Owners licence pets
Fees aid spaying/neutering
Enforce licences
Free neutering
Financial aid to rescue centres
UK funds 55% via revenue & 45% from taxes
In 2022: 125k licences, 75% drop in aggressive incidents

We urge the Government to adopt this scheme for pet welfare, responsibility, and community safety, drawing from Calgary's success.
