I want transgender rights to be recognised .
I want the government to recognise the rights of transgender people and what they are forced to go through they are ostracised from society being transgender is not a threat it’s not scary they are people just like me or you and they deserve to be treated just like us.
It is known that 48% of transgender youth have attempted suicide and this will only increase if more isn’t to being done to help them . Transgender health care saves lives they haven’t done anything wrong. They are not scary they are simply being themselves . Not everyone comes from accepting backgrounds so why should they be punished fir something they cannot help. Being transgender isn’t an illness it’s genetic it’s a discomfort in their birth gender which over 100,000 people suffer from.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the rights of transgender people, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
The Gender Recognition Act enables transgender people to achieve legal recognition in their acquired gender, and the Equality Act makes gender reassignment a protected characteristic, making it illegal to discriminate against transgender persons.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
