Petition Action

Make unpaid overtime against employment law.

Petition Details

Unpaid overtime should be made illegal. All overtime should be paid at a rate in line with an employees salary. Broken into 30 minute increments.

Additional Information

It is unacceptable in modern times that a workplace can legally force staff to work for free. Employees should be granted protection by law from contracts that take advantage of this legal loophole to get free labour. The UK workforce should be paid for the work it does. The Law protects many workers rights but has left such a massive loophole it is tantamount to modern slavery.
