Review how Home Office deals with applications for ILR due to domestic violence

Petition Details

People can apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) because of a relationship breakdown due to domestic violence or abuse, if their partner was a British citizen or settled in the UK. We are concerned that people could be making false allegations of violence or abuse to seek ILR.

Additional Information

We want the Government to undertake a review into how such applications are considered by the Home Office to ensure they are being thoroughly investigated.
