Ban filibustering in the House of Commons
When Bills are discussed in the House of Commons it should not be possible for MPs to use "filibustering", where someone talks nonstop, to prevent time to vote on that Bill as time has run out.
Nobody should be allowed to "Filibuster" any Bill. We believe it makes a mockery of democracy.
There should be a set amount of time an MP or Peer can speak to get their views across, but a single MP should not be able to talk the Bill out of being voted on.
By having a set amount of allocated time each member could have a chance to speak, instead of "Filibustering" to block the Bill.
In this day and age, we believe Filibustering must not be allowed in a democratic country.
