Provide plant-based milks as part of the National Milk Scheme for under 5's.
Children with allergies and intolerences are discriminated against as they are being excluded from the National Milk Scheme. This breaks the Equality Act 2010.
All children with allergies and intolerences should be entitled to free and sutible milks for medical needs as part of the scheme.
Parents who have children with allergies and intolerences are having to pay out themselves to purchase alternative milks for their children. This is a financial burden considering the cost of living.
Children with confirmed allergies and intolerences should be entitled to nutritional alternative milks that will support their health and wellbeing.
Please consider the children who suffer from anaphylaxis and severe health issues due to allergies and intolerences. We should all be entitled to sutible milk.
