Increase minimum wage for care home workers to £15 an hour

Petition Details

The Government should increase the minimum wage for all care home workers to £15 per hour. Many care home workers are on the current minimum wage, and work long hours every week, just to make ends meet. The government should make it law for all care organisations to pay at least £15 per hour.ur.

Additional Information

Our duties consist of: Washes, showers/baths, dressing, shaving, applying cream's, brushing hair/teeth, changing incontinence pads, emotional support when they're sad, giving them company as sometimes we're the only people they see all day, giving medication (even the likes of controlled drugs), hoisting, getting the person from A to B, chasing medication and calling GPs when new medication/cream may be needed.
The list goes on and on.
