Replace the cap on bankers' bonuses.
Large bonuses encourage short term investment decisions that can produce bad outcomes for the economy. Reckless behaviour should not be encouraged or rewarded.
Salaries were increased to compensate for lost bonuses, ensuring globally competitive remuneration without the need for bonus restoration.
