Legalise full government access to Internet traffic data
Although recently there has been severe criticism of the GCHQ and the NSA's global surveillance programs, it should be made legal in order to protect national interests and deter people from committing any inappropriate actions on the Internet.
Access to web browsing history, personally identifiable information linked to the Internet usage data, and other on-line activities should be made completely legal for the government.
The government is responsible for defending national interests and so has every right to access such data. However, the government should access, store and use that data in a responsible manner, without putting people at risk of identity theft.
Thank you
