Push for immediate, ambitious and binding targets at COP28

Petition Details

We want the Government to use its influence to secure agreement to: achieve massive reductions in fossil fuels in all sectors, keep to carbon budgets, reduce environmental pollution, secure healthy habitats, adapt housing to changing climate, cancel new oil and gas licences.

Additional Information

For the sake of our children and future generations urgent action is needed. This is based on the latest IPCC Report (2023). The UN Secretary General said: “This report is a clarion call to massively fast-track climate efforts by every country and every sector and on every timeframe. Our world needs climate action on all fronts: everything, everywhere, all at once.”

Many British people have been hugely disappointed by the Government’s woeful record thus far. So, drastic change is needed.
