Ban from public sale certain fireworks for garden use

Petition Details

Ban from public sale fireworks for garden use which:

1. Only create a noise (without a light display),
2. Feature an explosion(s) exceeding 65db, or
3. Require an explosion(s) exceeding 65db to function.

Additional Information

This is to be measured from ground level within a 200m circumference from the explosion.

Firework noise can be particularly distressing for those with Alzheimer’s, with impacts lasting long after the fireworks have finished.

Unlike other petitions I am not calling for a ban on the sale of fireworks because firstly I think that call is likely to fail and secondly I see no problem with individuals celebrating traditions. But I want to return to pleasant displays.
