Ban companies from insisting visiting HGV drivers load/unload their own vehicles
Prohibit companies such as Aldi Lidl and Ball packaging from insisting that visiting delivery hgv drivers to their premises are not required/allowed to unload or load their own vehicle or trailer.
Continental EU countries such as Spain have prohibited companies such as Aldi, Lidl and Ball Packaging from getting the visiting HGV delivery drivers to load and unload their own vehicles/trailers. The myriad of reasons that these companies are prohibited from such practices would include health and safety, and lack of remuneration for the driver. eg. If an HGV driver is trained to operate a "moffat" forklift, a premium is added to their pay.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure if you want the Government to ban HGV drivers from unloading their vehicles, or if you want something else to happen.
It has been reported that Spain has banned HGV drivers from unloading their vehicles, but it's not clear from the text of your petition if this is what you want to happen.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
