Debate the standing charge should be scrapped! Or taken from the company profits
Want the government to scrap the standing charge. Why should the public pay when it's an open market they should be maintained by the companies! This is set by the companies that is making huge profits taken out the system and not maintaining the system which is over priced!
Ofgem will not scrap this or set a fair standing charge at 0. Ofgem should bring in that company's have to have a percent of profits set by ofgem which is fair for maintaining and upgrading the system not having companies set the standing charge at what feel is right. If a company goes bust the company that takes on them customers should be paying for that increase in custom.
