Petition Action

Make parental alienation a specific criminal offence

Petition Details

We want the Government to create a new offence of parental alienation so that criminal charges can be brought against parents who use their children as a weapon against the other

Additional Information

The rate at which the child law act and the system is being used by parents to affect the children is quite alarming. A situation when a relationship ends and the other parent due to heartbreak uses the kids as weapon to fight the other parent and with the help of the system like non-molestation order, prohibited step order, allegations of demestic violence to get legal aid has to stop because the kids are the victims here.
