Incentivise landlords not to sell properties & to charge affordable rents

Petition Details

Landlords are exiting the market at an alarming rate, creating a crisis for existing and prospective tenants. Rents are soaring. We believe the Government should provide financial incentives to encourage landlords to remain in the market, and to ensure rents are affordable.

Additional Information

Rising mortgage rates and/or changes in the tax landscape are allegedly reasons for landlords exiting the market. We consider that urgent action on the part of the Government is needed in order to incentivise landlords to remain in the market, whilst making sure rents are affordable.
