Legal protections for property buyers.
At present, protections for prospective home buyers is inadequate. If a seller pulls out of the sale at the last moment, buyers suffer considerable costs which impacts their ability to compete in the market
I would like parliament and the government to debate, and develop a bill to ensure that if sellers pull out from a sale close to exchange date, they are responsible for covering some of the prospective buyer's costs e.g. survey costs, costs for environmental checks on the property etc.
