Too many people in the UK are being physically, mentally and economically affected by criminals stealing cars.

Additional Information

Nothing is being done to police or stop this matter and it is causing financial effect on insurance policies, cost of living and livelihoods. People are losing their hard earned money due to the lack of policing on this matter. Thousands of cars get stolen weekly.
We are no longer safe as a country to have expensive vehicles. Too many criminals are getting away with this crime and its needs to be stopped! They need to pay for their crimes and people of the UK need to feel safe.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about car theft, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Stricter penalties for car theft and fraudulent claims to help cut car insurance: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/651383

Increase minimum and maximum penalties for taking a vehicle without consent: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/650195
