Ban the sale of fireworks to the public

Petition Details

To ban firework sales to the general public at any time of the year and restrict them to organised displays only. It’s not just animals and pets, it’s the impact on older people, those with PTSD, and autistic people.

Additional Information

I’m a lifelong long pet owner and have seen first hand the traumatic effects that fireworks can cause to animals. The modern day fireworks sound like military explosives, and most time worse. They are set off for many reasons, including birthdays, weddings etc. We believe organised displays on Bonfire night and New Year is acceptable at the correct times, but the public shouldn't be able to buy fireworks.
