Change the rules on the £1000 'Side Hustle tax' to be fair for online sellers.
Eliminate the new tax on goods which are Used or faulty, eBay and other platforms have filters for new/used/faulty items and therefore this can be easily filtered out from New items which could be subject to tax.
Many online sellers are going to be hugely affected by the proposed tax on goods sold online via eBay and other online marketplaces, Tax has already been paid on used goods and therefore they should not be subject to a second tax. Many people with a 'side hustle' are not making huge amounts of money, the second hand market is far more ecologically friendly for the environment and allows those on a lower income to be able to purchase items otherwise out of reach.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
Rules regarding trading income from selling goods online have not changed, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You can find information about taxes for online sales here: www.gov.uk/government/publications/selling-online-and-paying-taxes/selling-online-and-paying-taxes-information-sheet
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, we could accept a petition calling on the Government to disregard income from selling goods online for the purposes of tax liability.
