Require councils to provide secure dog fields for exercising XLs & other breeds

Petition Details

In light of the ban on XL bullys, the Government should provide funding for, and require councils to provide, fully secure dog fields, so that these dogs can get the exercise they deserve in a safe environment! We need funding put into councils for secure spaces for ALL dogs to use freely.

Additional Information

There should be checks to ensure councils are supplying them.

The dogs who are now facing the rest of their lives on a lead and in muzzles in public, once played fetch with no care in the world. If councils can provide children’s secure play areas then we believe they need to also provide secure dog areas for breeds and types that have been banned to have freedom from the lead and muzzle. Freedom to play fetch. This needs to come from government to ensure councils are providing the space.
