Scrap student fees for nursing, midwifery and paramedic students
I think that university fees for nursing, midwifery and paramedic students should be scrapped. These students work hard to become qualified to provide services to those in need, and are rewarded with high student debt that eats into their wages.
Almost everyone will need a nurse at some point. I think that university fees contribute to fewer people taking these courses at university. I think future generations will suffer the consequences of this through reduced availability of healthcare staff.
