UK spouse visa should increase in line with National minimum wage £25,000.
£29,000 is still too high. Not even people on good job meet requirements. Ironically even some home office job don't meet £38,700.
According to Migration Observatory at Oxford University 2017 approximately 40% of workers do not earn enough to sponsor a spouse's visa under existing rules.
We urge the government not only to reconsider this proposal but also review its approach towards migration policies that affect innocent citizens who simply wish to build their lives with their loved ones here in Britain. The UK Spouse visa should not exceed £25,000 threshold for people working on national minimum wage.
