Implement Laws to Prevent Parental Child Abduction in 50/50 Custody Cases
Amend the parental rights law, so that neither parent can keep their child from the other parent, unless there is solid proof that the other parent is a risk to said child.
Parents who have 50/50 custody rights or equal parental rights wether it be through court order or the fact that both parents are on the birth certificate, have no protection against the possibility that either parent could hold their child and refuse to take them back to their primary caregiver and home. This creates trauma for the child in question and the parent who has no way of getting their child back unless the courts grant emergency care orders
