Add a 'none of the above' box to the ballot paper.
Recent low turn outs in local and European elections have made a mockery of the democratic process making it hard for any representatives to seriously claim they operate with any meaningful mandate. The electorate (particularly the young) feel disillusioned,disengaged and disenfranchised. The introduction of a 'none of the above' box would give people the opportunity to register their dissatisfaction in a proactive way.
