Ban Forced Military Conscriptions, Advocate for Voluntary Service Only
Advocate for voluntary military service only and ban forced conscriptions. By doing so, we not only respect individual freedom but also take a step towards preventing potential harm to our youth's mental health.
Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and there is a significant increase in mental health disorders among veterans compared to civilians. This indicates that exposure to military environments can have detrimental effects on an individual's mental wellbeing. I believe that forced military conscription could exacerbate these problems.
