Fund training and more roles for social workers to combat abuse of older people

Petition Details

Fund further training and more roles for social workers to try and tackle elder abuse. We think that too many vulnerable adults are being exploited for financial gain, and can be isolated, controlled and emotionally and physically abused.

Additional Information

We think that social workers often have little confidence to identify and address elder abuse. We believe action is needed to safeguard vulnerable adults with memory problems, who can be more at risk of exploration and manipulation.
