Free prescriptions for chronic kidney disease patients
Unlike people with diabetes, people with chronic kidney disease have to pay for prescriptions.
I was told if I don't take my medication I will die young and I will need to take medication for the rest of my life.
We think it is only fair, and morally correct to provide free prescriptions for those with chronic kidney disease, a condition that cannot be reversed and will get progressively worse without medication to control secondary complications, for example, high blood pressure, secondary hyperparathyroidism, anaemia, high uric acid among other complications.
