Conduct a review into stigma in mental health care
We call upon the Government to seek to address the stigma faced by some mental health patients, which we believe contributes to situations where patients are not take seriously, including when they are experiencing suicidal thoughts or have self-harmed.
We urge the Government to identify and implement proactive measures to challenge and eradicate this stigma, and to ensure that mental health care services provide compassionate and effective support for all individuals.
For example, we think the input of peer support staff could prove invaluable to help inform and shape the quality and richness of multidisciplinary discussions, training, care planning and patient treatment.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
