Make ill-treatment or neglect of an adult family member a specific offence

Petition Details

We want the Government to make it a specific criminal offence to ill-treat or neglect an adult family member, whether or not they have been deemed to have capacity. We believe that the current law does not adequately protect vulnerable people from ill-treatment or neglect by family members.
