Lower the voting age to 16 so the UK it more democratic.
The government should commission research to understand the potential implications of lowering the voting age. This research could include studying the experiences of countries that have already implemented a lower voting age.
Lowering the voting age to 16 would mean that there would be more engagement in political processes, more education and awareness about general elections and an increase in voter turnout which is relatively low for the younger generation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
It's not clear if you want the Government to commission research into lowering the voting age, or if you want the voting age to be lowered.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
