Remove Section 1 (D) of the Abortion Law 1967

Petition Details

I’d like the government to scrap this sub section. I believe it is discriminatory against disabled children.

Additional Information

I believe it is completely discriminatory and that it should not be a reason for a child who is suspected to be severely disabled to be aborted. We believe there is help out there for parents with disabled children, and there is a reason why we have special education schools, helpful organisations, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) etc. I believe it is an appalling sub section and it has to come to an end. Stop discrimination against the disabled community and make it completely equal for all.
