Change the nursing degree financial strategy
Currently nurses have to complete 2300 hours of unpaid work during their 3 years of training and pay student loans and finance to gain a nursing degree of up to £60k. Student nurses should not have to complete all these hours without getting paid whilst also taking out student loans.
Police and fire officers do not have to get £60k in debt for their training but yet nurses do and also work 2300 hours for free but again nurses do. Doesn’t make sense! Nurses are penalised massively for wanting to be a nurse. Nursing needs to be revised and students should be paid!
