Petition Action

A law requiring UK businesses to provide a direct telephone line for customers.

Petition Details

Make sure that these lines are either free or charged at a fair basic rate. Also ensure numbers are prominent on internet home pages and hard copies of publicity and marketing material.

Additional Information

More and more businesses nowadays make themselves remote from customers relying on the individual to do work online. Not all individuals are comfortable with this. It is vexatious and it also damages brands. We need to make sure that businesses do not abdicate their responsibility to help and be accountable to their customers who pay money for their goods and services.
