Housing Benefit justice for carers of disabled children
Disabled grandparents, Paul and Susan Rutherford, caring for their severely disabled teenage grandson, have lost housing benefit because their specially adapted bungalow has a spare bedroom which they need for respite carers to use at least twice weekly. Tell the Government not to penalise struggling families of severely disabled children by reducing housing benefit. Tell them we are a civilised society wishing to support people who try hard to care for their own family.
