Petition Action

The government should publish in full the notes of communications between Blair and Bush in the run up to the Iraq War

Additional Information

Notes taken by civil servants of face to face and telephone conversations between Tony Blair and George Bush in the run up to the Iraq War should provide a clear insight in the decision-making that led to the war. In a democracy it is essential that elected politicians remain fully accountable for their actions. Excluding the views of the US president (and using gists or limited quotations for the remainder) creates a clear risk that key evidence will be distorted or suppressed.
