Stop differentiating between under/over 25s for Universal Credit

Petition Details

I think that Universal Credit should not have a lower rate for under 25s. I think this puts under 25s at a disadvantage and is discrimination based on age.

Additional Information

People under 25, including single parents, get less Universal Credit because of one sole reason: their age. I believe this is unjustified because I don't think one can accurately predict a difference in expenses caused by a person's age. I think that similar circumstance should equal similar allowance, and regardless that this is about the principle of Equal Rights.
