Lower Social Housing rent.
Social housing has risen yet again. Every year it's jumping up £40 extra a month or more in some cases. Please review this for everyone in the UK.
You lowered this a while ago to affordable Housing but now there has been a great inflation. Families are suffering enough with bills and food etc. please could you review. Thankyou.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The Government is not directly responsible for social housing rent prices, which are set by individual local authorities and housing associations.
The Government has set a cap on rent increases, and we could accept a petition calling for this cap to be lowered, or calling for a ban on rental increases for social housing tenants.
If you are concerned about increases to rent for social housing tenants in your area you could raise this with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
